the Big Weekend '26

Led photo, video, and live social for The Big Weekend — a two-day ministry event for kids. That meant building and managing a full creative team from scratch, shooting across both days, and delivering the final highlight film by Sunday morning.
Filming kids comes with a constraint most people don't think about until they're in it: you can't show their faces. No close-ups, no reaction shots, none of the moments that usually carry an edit emotionally. It's the single biggest creative challenge in this kind of work — and honestly, it forced a better film. Every shot had to work harder. Energy, movement, atmosphere, the small details. We captured the heart of the weekend without a single recognisable face, and I'm proud of that.
What made this one extra special: it's the first project where I integrated AI image and video generation directly into the edit — filling gaps with shots and VFX that simply wouldn't exist on a budget like this. The result punches well above its weight class.
Genuinely one of my favourite, most challenging projects to date.
