"I was all over the place as a person. I moved overseas to work on the ships and live my own life. I traveled a lot and had a great party but it always felt like I was missing something. Took 4 years until I realised God wanted to change my life. And then Brandon came along.
We met at a bar, we both had mutual friends that we went with and kinda all ended up at the same table together. He was sitting across from me so I couldn’t help but talk to him. We spoke for so long that I couldn’t even remember who I was with that night. I just remember being dazed. Had a big crush but told myself I could never marry a man like that.
We didn’t speak for about 4 years. I was to nervous to speak to him when I saw him so I would just look around the room saying hi. He liked one of my stories on instagram and it went straight to main dms. We exchanged numbers and continued speak for about 1 year while I was working overseas. We were really good friends.
The day I knew I wanted to marry him was him and I walking around the complex he was living in at the time. We spoke and he showed me the softest side of him. I couldn’t help but look in his eyes and fall in love all over again.
I knew that this was everything I prayed for, answered."

"We found ourselves in a group of friends out talking all night and even forgot our other friends were even there! We just got on so well from that night that we met and wanted to make plans to see each other again but never did for another 4 years.
We would catch up and check in until eventually we got together for a drink to catch up and again we got on so well and found ourselves making plans to see each other at least three times a week.
We can be so different but together we just get each other and understand what the other needs and loves. I was very much a loud guy before Monique but never could make upfront decisions and always hesitated on making big steps but when with Monique, I just had this feeling of wanting to commit myself to her and spend the rest of my life trying my hardest to help her achieve all her goals, with her right next to me as I achieved mine.
It must have been her friendly, caring character, the way she pushed to always support me both behind close doors and in crowds. Her will to always help others even when they might not do the same for her is something I really admire. She brings the soft side of me out and makes me friendlier person! I just never get tired of her quirkiness and her silliness! I simply adore her.
